Painted Desert, Arizona

Jeff and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on 8-17-07. We took a trip to Greer, AZ and to the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest. We saw a doe with twin fawns near our cabin.

Last night, we had our first monsoon storm and we saw this double rainbow from our patio. The picture is not as sharp as I would like, but since I had never seen a double rainbow before, I wanted to share with you. This was taken at our new home in Surprise, Arizona.

I had the pleasure of meeting Pat Day, Hall of Fame jockey, at opening day at Turf Paradise, Phoenix, Arizona. Turf Paradise is open from Oct through May, and features live racing on weekends.
